Reade Studios represents the creative union and ever-evolving journey of husband and wife, Rob and Gia Reade. While bringing forward their respective areas of expertise, they proudly offer their clients full-service Interior and Lighting design. 

Nearly 20 years ago, Rob and Gia first met on a jobsite. Life took them in different directions for a time-him to growing a highly successful Electrical Contracting business, her to New York City to pursue interior design-but they eventually circled back to start a family and business together. 

Gia has pursued Interior Design in one way or another for her whole life. Being raised in the hospitality business meant she understood from a young age what it meant to curate an experience. After earning her Master's degree in Interior Design from Pratt Institute in 2011 she started her career in earnest, first on California's  Monterey Peninsula and now in central Missouri. She draws on life experiences and sentimental connection to create comfortable, welcoming, and memorable spaces that serve as extensions of their occupants. Gia's passion lies in designing living and working spaces that harmonize the basic design elements of color, pattern and texture, but never lack in the most important of all: heart. 

Rob was born and raised in Central California and, like most strapping boys, cut his teeth in the construction trades. Soon enough he found a proclivity for electrical work and followed that path. Within 10 years, Rob and his crew were wiring and installing some of the most elaborate homes in the area. He quickly earned the loyalty and respect of the area's top contractors, as his work was dependably excellent. He soon found a real need for Electrical Design. The detailed plan sets that crossed his desk often lacked  sufficient electrical sheets, so Rob set to work to expand his business to include design and installation. This is what truly sets Rob apart: a superior technical knowledge paired with a finely-tuned design sense. Since relocating to central Missouri with his family, he has greatly enjoyed the opportunity to bring his unparalleled skills to a new community, 

Gia and Rob now live with their 3 wonderfully silly children in Columbia, Missouri. When not designing for their clients they can be found homeschooling, tending their chickens, and filling their days to the brim.
